History of Saipa Diesel

Saipa Dizel Company was founded on July 28, 1342 by Asghar Khandachi under the name of Iran Kaveh, and by concluding an exclusive contract with Mack Trucks, it started its activity by assembling Mack trucks and manufacturing all kinds of trailers. The number of trucks produced by Irankaveh during the period of cooperation with Mack Trucks until 1357 reached 7,500 units.

Following the confiscation of Kaveh Iran and stopping the production of Mack trucks in 1357, the name of the company was changed to “Saipa Diesel“.

Asghar Khandachi, who after confiscating his factory, returned to heavy machinery repair work, says about changing the name of Iran Kaveh that “I chose the name Iran Kaveh because of my love for the country and love for Kaveh Ahangar.” Kaveh was a fact, we did not invent it. However, later ruining the name “Kaveh” and us! They ruined everything together, the same tribe that had no interest in industry!“

In order to take advantage of the existing capacities in creating employment, Saipa Dizel Company put the assembly of other vehicles in the road transport sector of cargo and passengers on its agenda.

In 1363, after the investigations carried out regarding the launch of a new truck production line, a contract for the manufacture and production of Volvo F12 trucks in 4×6, 2×6, 2×4 types was concluded with Volvo Trucks.

Signing a contract for the production of flatbed trailers with Gosha Yugoslavia was one of the other outstanding actions of Saipa Dizel during this year.

In the production process during the years 1363 to 1380, the production of Volvo NL12 and F12 trucks was achieved in the amount of more than 10,000 units and with about 52% self-sufficiency.

But following the implementation of the environmental standards law, known as “Euro” standards by the European Union and the failure to equip the trucks of Iran’s international transport companies with engines that meet emission standards, Saipa Dizel faced the biggest crisis of its life.

This company, in the face of the crisis caused by the lack of permits for trucks to travel on European roads, started extensive measures with the aim of rebuilding the country’s road transport fleet, especially in the transit sector, and finally by concluding a new contract with Volvo Trucks, Volvo FH12 and NH12 trucks. which are now equipped with engines with Euro 3 emission standards, were included in the Saipadiesel product line.

Due to the transfer of shares of the major shareholders of this company (Saipa and Nivan Ebtekar companies) and the change of major shareholders in March 2015, the new shareholders of this company on 16/02/2016 include the e-commerce companies Khodro Taban Takht, Tehsehgostar Barna and Setare.

The future ambassadors were introduced. It should be mentioned that before the transfer of shares, Saipa Company owned 41.5 percent and Nivan Ebtekar Company owned 15.2 percent of this company’s shares.

The main subsidiaries of saipa group are Saipa Diesel, Pars Khodro and Zamyad Co.

The most important actions of Saipa Diesel Company in fulfilling social responsibilities:

Improvement and maintenance of ISO 14001 environmental management system
Implementation of comprehensive waste management through measures such as identification and comprehensive analysis of waste, education and culture building; Separation and separation of all types of waste, transportation outside the organization in a controlled manner.
Implementation and operation of sanitary and industrial treatment plant system.
Expansion and maintenance of green space with the aim of increasing the green space per capita and beautifying the environment, on this basis, 572 trees and 10,322 flower bushes were planted in 1401. The master plan of replacing the grass and converting the surface irrigation system to drip irrigation to the extent of 95%.
